Anthony Cangelosi


Anthony seeks partnership opportunities with prospective clients, including Fortune 500 companies and government organizations, using a consultative, solutions-based approach.

Before joining UNC Executive Development, Anthony was a senior program coordinator at the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation in Baltimore, MD. There, he used sports to provide character development opportunities for youth in underserved communities across the United States. Prior to that, he was the assistant director of youth programs at USA Baseball. In this role, he supported grassroots-level sport development efforts and founded the USA Baseball Homegrown program, connecting alumni and professional athletes with kids in their hometowns. He also worked as a community relations assistant with the Washington Nationals Baseball Club, leading outreach initiatives to improve the greater Washington, DC area.

Anthony received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where he earned Dean’s List and played four years of NCAA baseball. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Anthony lives in Raleigh with his wife, Hannah, and rescue dog, Rizzo. He volunteers for youth-based organizations and enjoys an active lifestyle in which he likes to hike, kayak, run, bike, and explore all that North Carolina has to offer.
