Stephen’s roles have encompassed leadership of practice-oriented academic programming, business strategy, learning design, marketing and business development, learning technologies, and operations management.

Stephen works with corporations, non-profits, K-12 systems, higher education institutions, and grantmaking organizations to understand and meet their learning and development objectives for key staff at all levels. Through careful planning and execution, he has led diverse teams to develop transformative program experiences for a wide range of practitioners (from CEOs and C-suite executives to early childhood educators working in developing countries) through innovative, high-quality learning design across face-to-face, online, and hybrid modalities. Stephen has a long track record of developing organizational capacity and generating impact and significant alternative revenue streams through business planning, results-oriented execution, change leadership, and management of a collaborative culture. He is an expert in non-traditional student program strategy, professional learning organizations, program design, multi-year partnerships, job-embedded learning, and online teaching and learning.

After several years in Boston, MA, Stephen and his family relocated to Chapel Hill, NC in 2022. They enjoy the close-by beach and mountains and the warm and welcoming southern hospitality, which is reminiscent of his wife’s home in Puerto Rico.
