Hannah Simmonds

People Operations Manager

Hannah is passionate about helping people discover opportunities where they can learn, grow, and thrive. As People Operations Manager, she supports the team, systems, and experiences that enable UNC Executive Development to attract, develop, and retain talent committed to serving clients and advancing the organization’s mission.

Hannah’s career began in the classroom, where she spent four years as an elementary school teacher, building meaningful relationships with students and families, and creating environments where every learner could reach their full potential. That commitment to supporting others continues to shape her approach today.

In her talent acquisition career, Hannah has led early career recruiting initiatives that connect students and emerging professionals with opportunities aligned to their goals and strengths. She has managed large candidate pipelines, designed creative recruiting and engagement strategies, and partnered closely with business leaders, university stakeholders, alumni, and student organizations to attract and develop top talent.

Hannah holds a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies from Westmont College.

Originally from California, Hannah lives in the Triangle with her husband and their French bulldog. She enjoys traveling home to California and to new destinations, taking workout classes, painting, cooking, reading, gardening, and exploring new coffee shops around the area.
