Dane Jensen


As CEO of Third Factor, Dane is an acclaimed speaker, an instructor at Queen’s University and the University of North Carolina, a regular contributor to Harvard Business Review, and the author of the book The Power of Pressure: Why Pressure Isn’t the Problem, It’s the Solution.

Dane oversees Third Factor’s delivery of leadership development programs to leading firms across North America in the transportation, pharmaceutical, social media, and software industries. He has worked as an advisor to senior executives in 23 countries across five continents. He also teaches MBA students at Queen’s University Smith School of Business.

In addition to his corporate work, Dane works extensively with athletes, coaches, leaders, and boards across Canada’s Olympic and Paralympic sport systems to enhance national competitiveness.

Dane lives in Toronto with his wife and their three children. He plays three-and-a-half instruments (his trumpet skills have largely lapsed) and spent high school and college recording original music and losing regional Battle of the Bands showcases. When he is not teaching, Dane can often be found at the back of a crowded room singing along to live music.
