Adam Traylor

Director, Innovation and Technology


Adam is a technology and cybersecurity leader with extensive experience across manufacturing, energy, consulting, government contracting, and higher education. Throughout his career, he has led enterprise security strategy, cloud security operations, governance programs, and infrastructure protection initiatives, partnering with executive leadership to align technology capabilities with organizational goals. He has held senior roles with organizations including Marathon Oil, Cameron, Core Laboratories, Wilsonart, Ventech Solutions, and Millennium Print Group, and has also provided strategic guidance through Pellera and his own firm, Backstage Cyber. He continues to deepen his expertise through hands-on leadership experience and ongoing engagement with emerging technologies, governance practices, and risk management strategies.

Adam holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Marshall University. He maintains the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credential and has previously earned certifications including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Cloud+, and Security+.

Outside of his professional work, Adam remains active in theater as a director and performer in local productions. He is passionate about initiatives that blend creative and technical disciplines and is particularly interested in how storytelling, human-centered design, and community-building can enhance communication and learning.
