Angel Swindell Nix


Angel is an internationally renowned, board-certified executive coach and organizational development practitioner with extensive experience. She specializes in supporting C-suite executives, key business leaders, and professionals in their continuous development of leadership competencies aimed at promoting organizational excellence. With over 22 years of experience as an industrial and organizational psychologist, Angel excels in experiential learning, leadership and organizational development, strategic planning, talent management, and performance management.

To create a definition that supports metrics for successful outcomes, Angel initially focuses on establishing an accurate organizational context. Her approach to launching developmental solutions for clients is rooted in a thorough organizational assessment of current culture, strengths, opportunities for development, strategic priorities, and goals. By utilizing impact data, stakeholder feedback, and self-reports, she challenges and supports her clients in a way that positions the organization to achieve its greatest potential.

Currently, Angel serves as the president and CEO of the National Institute of Leadership & Organizational Development. She is also an affiliate faculty member with the Center for Creative Leadership and UNC Executive Development.

Angel holds a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology, a post-master’s certificate in organizational development, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and biopsychology with a minor in chemistry. Additionally, she is a board-certified coach through the Center for Credentialing Education, Inc. She is also certified to administer many 360-degree feedback and personality assessments.
