Lisa Langford

Lisa is responsible for orchestrating the seamless delivery of Executive Development programs, coordinating all operational elements from inception through completion, while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, participants, faculty, and delivery partners.

Prior to joining UNC Executive Development, Lisa worked as an elementary teacher with Orange County Schools, which is just up the road in Hillsborough, NC. In this role, she designed and implemented instruction across all core content areas in a variety of grade levels, leveraging student strengths and areas of focus to meet individual needs. She particularly enjoyed mentoring teachers who are new to the profession and serving as her grade level’s chair as her team navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2016, Lisa’s colleagues honored her by naming her Teacher of the Year. She also received the Borchardt Award, which provided her with the incredible opportunity to travel to South Africa with other educators from across the state of North Carolina. Lisa holds both a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and a Master of Education with a concentration in literacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is thrilled to be back at her home away from home. GO HEELS!

Lisa lives in Durham, NC with her husband, Scott, and their two dogs, Mollie and Earl. She enjoys running, going to the beach, and teaching classes at Notasium, a local music school.
