A UNC alumnus and Army veteran, Tanya’s leadership and dedication to public service have earned her numerous accolades, including the Bronze Star, the Legion of Merit, and the Department of Homeland Security Distinguished Service Medal. In 2024, she was honored with the DAV Outstanding Federal Executive of the Year award and the Women in NAACP Empowerment Award.
