Heather Freeland


Heather collaborates with clients to co-develop solutions that drive results in alignment with their business needs and culture. In her role, Heather directs every phase of the learning design process, including needs analysis, high-level and detailed design, faculty selection, program orchestration, measurement of impact, and continuous improvement. Heather has managed the design, development, and delivery of customized executive development programs for varied industries including telecommunications, construction, tourism, grocery, and professional associations.

Heather has over 20 years of leadership development experience in finance, retail, manufacturing, and consumer goods. She held executive leadership positions at several Fortune 500 companies including Office Depot, Bank of America, and Best Buy. As a strategic business partner, she worked with business and executive teams to define their talent strategy and develop solutions to create a strong pipeline of future leaders.

Heather received her BS in communication from Northwestern University, her MA from the University of Montana, and completed her Executive Management Certificate at the University of Southern California.

Heather lives in Winston-Salem with her husband and two teenage children. Together, they explore the mountains and beaches of North Carolina and enjoy adventuring to other states and abroad as often as possible.
