Grier Martin


A retired United States Army officer, Grier dedicated 17 years to public service in the North Carolina House of Representatives, where he chaired the House Committee on Transportation Appropriations and the House Committee on Homeland Security, Military, and Veterans Affairs. Following his legislative tenure, he served in President Joe Biden’s administration, performing the duties of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, and later in Governor Roy Cooper’s administration as the Secretary of Military and Veterans Affairs.
