Emily Osterhus

Program Director

Emily collaborates with clients to co-develop solutions that drive results in alignment with their business needs and culture. In her role, she supports all phases of the learning design process, including high-level and detailed design, faculty selection, program orchestration, measurement of impact, and continuous improvement.

Prior to joining Executive Development in 2019, Emily worked at Spencer Stuart, a global executive search and leadership advisory firm in Washington, DC. She supported searches in their biopharmaceutical, global development, and social enterprise practices. She served as a project manager for CEO and other C-suite-level searches. Before joining Spencer Stuart, she worked on Capitol Hill as a scheduler for a member of the United States Senate. She spent her first year out of college working with Capital Area Food Bank, where she served as an AmeriCorps volunteer managing a local fresh produce grant program.

Emily is a double Tar Heel: she received her master’s degree in business administration and her bachelor’s degree in English and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Emily is originally from eastern North Carolina and loves spending time on the water. In her free time, she enjoys live concerts and hiking. In addition, she is always looking for great podcast recommendations.
