Ben Blankenship


Ben provides technology support to Executive Development clients and internal staff. This includes day-to-day troubleshooting of office technology, providing technology solutions for program deliveries, and assistance with webinars, videoconferencing, presentation software, and video editing.

Prior to joining the Executive Development team, Ben worked for the City of Asheville’s IT Department. He started as an intern and then was hired full-time as a Technical Support Technician and then later moved into the role of Interim Systems Analyst 1. In his roles, he supported end users, assisted in livestreaming/supporting City Council meetings, managed their Google Workspace Enterprise solutions, and helped troubleshoot issues with their ERP system.

Ben earned the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, along with getting a Bronze Eagle Palm.

Ben earned his Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology: Information Systems from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in Asheville, North Carolina.

Ben lives in Durham with his partner, Althea. In his free time, Ben enjoys skateboarding, gaming, and playing with his rescue dogs, Riley and Bonnie, and chilling with his cat Finley.
