Prior to joining Executive Development, Kristen has spent over ten years in operations and development experiences within the global business realm, the federal government, non-profit start-ups, and higher education. Over the course of six years, she built and grew a team and operating budget to strategically increase revenue and support at The Honor Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting transitioning Special Operations Forces members from the military into their civilian careers. There she spearheaded operations expansion from the initial campus headquarters to multiple locations across the U.S. and furthermore expanded revenue streams to personally raise over $2.8 million in partnerships and donations. Her initial career began on Capitol Hill where she facilitated operations for a Member of the United States House of Representatives. Her experience also spans a corporate medical device start-up providing her with many organizational backgrounds to serve UNC Executive Development clients.

Kristen holds a BS in public relations, with a non-profit focus, along with a minor in marketing.

Kristen is originally from Western North Carolina and has spent most of her career in Washington, DC, San Diego, CA, and Annapolis, MD. After her husband’s transition out of the United States Navy, they were excited to come back to North Carolina to raise their three young children.
