Jessica Whitesell

Jess brings over two decades of experience in sales, sales enablement, and general business operations to UNC Executive Development. She is passionate about enhancing organizational efficiency and boosting revenue by synergizing strategy, content, processes, and people. She is recognized for her proactive “roll up the sleeves” mentality and her unwavering “can-do” attitude.

Before transitioning to UNC Executive Development, Jess served in a leadership capacity at Dream Box Learning. There, she supported sales, marketing, revenue operations, and the C-suite leadership team. She earned several Step-Up Awards and Sales Support Awards while serving in these roles. Her career has come full circle upon joining UNC Executive Development, as her initial position after college was with LEARN NC, an affiliate of the UNC School of Education. While at LEARN NC, she earned the prestigious UNC-Chapel Hill Star Heels Award.

Jess holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in computer information systems from Elon University and a master’s degree in business administration from Meredith College.

Jess is often found on a baseball field, but in her leisure time, she enjoys gardening and relaxing in the southern Outer Banks, particularly in Salvo. As a recent breast cancer survivor, she is an advocate for preventative healthcare, as she credits an early diagnosis with saving her life. One of her favorite quotes is by entrepreneur Sarah Blakely: “When something I can’t control happens, I ask myself: where is the hidden gift, where is the positive in this?”
