Janel Wharton


Janel is responsible for the successful preparation and execution of Executive Development program deliveries.

Janel has worked in a variety of industries during her career, throughout which she has learned invaluable lessons about teamwork, leadership, business operations, and more. During her six-year tenure at Teachers Federal Credit Union, she held various roles, including Financial Services Representative and Trainer. Later, she worked in operations/program management.

While working at Teachers, Janel was part of a group called Innovate, where she worked to create solutions for employee pain points. Through Innovate, she launched and led the organization’s first formal mentorship program. In her role as Operations Program Specialist, she implemented an internal communications strategy which provided operational visibility to over 500 member-facing employees.

Janel is proud to serve as a “Big” for Big Brothers Big Sisters. She enjoys cooking, working out, reading, and new experiences. Her family is central to her life and is the reason that she moved from New York to North Carolina.
